Bagian 5

Cloud tenggelam ke dalam Lifestream. Dia tidak jatuh tenggelam dalam keadaan mati atau hanya jiwa saja. Dia terjatuh ke lautan Mako dalam keadaan masih hidup. Ia terjatuh dalam keadaan pingsan.

Di Northen Carter, Cloud menyadari kalau kenangan yang ia punya ternyata palsu. Dia hanya boneka yang di ciptakan dan di transplantasi sel Jenova oleh Profesor Hojo. Di ciptakan hanya untuk membuat kloningan Sephiroth. Namun gagal, karena kegagalan tersebut Cloud tidak memiliki nomor uji coba pada tubuhnya.

Dia kemudian di buang ke Midgar. Kemudian ia bertemu Tifa. Dia bertemu teman �sejati� masa kecilnya, Tifa Lockhart. Pada saat itu, dengan kekuatan dari Jenova, memori tentang Tifa langsung terkirim pada Cloud. Bagian-bagian memori yang hilang saat ia menjadi Soldier (akibat uji coba Hojo) yang ada pada memori Cloud perlahan terpenuhi. Inilah awal dari kehidupannya sebagai Cloud Strife, sebagai mantan anggota Soldier. Awal munculnya kepribadian Cloud yang lain berdasarkan pria yang ada di dalam kenangan Tifa. Ketika �Cloud� menahan diri atas penyangkalan dirinya, ia membuat karakter fiksi yang ia yakini kalau itu adalah dirinya yang asli. *Soldier = pasukan tentara Shinra

Akan tetapi ia menyangkalnya terlalu jauh.

Bermula kesalahan lama. Setelah menerima kontak dengan sel Jenova, resonansi dalam tubuh Cloud yang �lama� mulai memunculkan banyak kecurigaan.  Lama sebelum Aerith meninggal, kecurigaan yang telah Cloud tahan selama ini mulai meluap. Menggunakan dendam kepada Sephiroth dan tujuan akhir yang ia tahan mulai meledak, namun itu hanya terjadi sampai ia  bertemu dengan Sephiroth yang asli.

Di Northren Crater sebelum Sephiroth memiliki inti dari Jenova, Cloud mulai merasa rapuh. Tepat setelah itu, kesadaran yang ia kontrol sebagai Cloud sendiri mulai mengambil alih kunci untuk memanggil Meteor, �the Black Materia�.

Bekerja sama dengan musuh yang ia benci untuk menggagalkan tujuan awal yaitu menghentikan Meteor, Cloud merasa dirinya telah jatuh. Sifat ego palsu yang ia miliki hancur menjadi pecahan-pecahan kecil saat ia dalam keadaan pingsan, hanya rasa putus asa kenapa ia gagal menjadi kloning Sephiroth.

Dan juga�

Tak lagi sadar, Cloud yang awalnya berada di Northern Crater tenggelam kedalam Lifestream.

Dengan kehilangan dirinya sediri, apa yang akan terjadi dengan tingginya reaksi energi Mako karena keraguan kenangan pada Cloud yang ia miliki sekarang?

Hanya tampak seperti spons yang terombang-ambing di permukaan air. Kesadaran dirinya yang hilang dan banyaknya keraguan telah jauh terpendam membuat ia seperti mabuk karena terdoktrin berbagai asa, inilah yang disebut �Mako poisoning� (keracunan Mako :P).

Karena pikirannya menolak untuk melakukan pemulihan dirinya, Cloud hanya terombang-ambing di dalam Lifestream. Tak lama kemudian, tubuhnya tak lagi berada di Lifestream, secara alami energi Mako mengarahkan dirinya menuju pesisir Mideel. Dengan kondisinya sekarang, ia terlihat seperti orang gila.


Aerith tahu satu alasan mengapa Lifestream di tempat ia sekarang berada tidak memiliki reaksi. Itu semua karena pelindung yang telah Sephiroth ciptakan. Malapetaka dari langit yang akan jatuh, Jenova, membawa meteor yang nantnya akan menciptakan luka/bekas hebat pada Planet. Di tempatini, dimana terdapat banyaknya energi untuk menyembuhkan luka tersebut, karena itu Sephiroth melindunginya untuk menjadi tempat awal ia akan �terlahir kembali�. Tiba-tiba arus energi Mako dalam Lifestream itu menjadi aneh dan tidak wajar, sontak membuat Aerith kaget.

Aerith ingin sekali berbicara pada tubuh Cloud yang berada pada arus aneh itu Aerith mencoba untuk menggerakkan tubuhnya meuju Mideel. Tapi dengan kondisi Cloud yang sekarang, ia takkan bisa mendengarkan suara Aerith. Tidak peduli sekeras apa Aerith menangis, suaranya takkan bisa sampai pada Cloud seperti waktu ketika mereka terpisah di Forgotten City.

Dengan keadaan tak berdaya, Aerith hanya bisa berdiri dalam Lifestream dengan perasaan campur aduk melihat tubuh Cloud menuju permukaan.


�Bagaimana caraku untuk menyelamatkan Cloud? Bagaimana caraku menghentikan Meteor? Aku tidak berpikir bahwa Holy dapat menahannya. Dengan kondisi saat ini, Planet bisa berakhir seperti dengan apa yang Sephiroth rencanakan� Apa yang harus ku lakukan? Cloud, beritahu aku��

Aerith menangis karena Cloud tidak dapat mendengar ucapannya. Ia mulai merasa rapuh. Jika dia bukan Cloud yang berada di hatinya, lantas siapa dia itu? Mengetahui kalau dia bekas anggota Soldier, tidak ada yang bisa Aerith duga. Aerith memeluk perasaannya dalam ketidakberdayaan yang tidak bisa iaungkapkan dengan kata-kata.

�Cloud� Aku merindukanmu. Aku benar-benar merindukanmu��

Bisikan Aerith hanya memuai dan menyebar dalam Mako.

Ia ingat kenangan yang pernah ia buat dengan Cloud. Kesannya bahwa meskipun Cloud merupakan sosok yang dingin, namun jauh dalam hatinya ia merupakan sosok yang ceria.

�Aku merasakan sesuatu yang aneh tentang dia, tapi apakah semua yang ia ciptakan merupakan karakter palsu dalam dirinya? Apakah Cloud tidak nyata? �Tidak, itu tidak benar. Pasti ada sesuatu yang Cloud pikirkan. Sesuatu yang meyakinkan kalau dirinya adalah Cloud. Dia bukanlah sosok kosong.�

Tetapi Aerith tidak bisa menemukan kebenarannya. Perkiraannya tidak pernah menemukan titik terang. Aerith kemudian menyelidikinya lagi kedalam kenangannya. Kenangan yang hanya menunjukkan sosok Cloud. Cara ia berjalan. Aerith kemudian mengingat satu per satu semua sosok aslinya�

Kebanyakan apa yang ia bayangkan menyatu dalam lautan Mako dan terbentuklah sosok itu. Sosok yang ia ingat sepenuhnya dan �dia� mulai terbangun.

�Aerith� Kaukah itu?�

Untuk pertama kalinya, Aerith tidak bisa mengingat suara yang terdengar secara tiba-tiba itu. Dengan panic, Aerith berbalik dan melihat wajah nostalgia yang tidak pernah Aerith lihat selama 5 tahun lebih. Dia merupakan cinta pertamanya. Sekarang dia hanya sosok yang Aerith sayang yang tidak pernah Aerith lihat sejak tidak pernah terdengar kabar apapun tentangnya.

Dia mempunyaki karakter yang sama seperti Cloud. Zack, sosok yang mempunyai bola mata biru muda yang menunjukkan bahwa ia seorang Soldier muncul di hadapannya.

�Zack! Apa itu berarti kau juga telah mati?�

Spontan Aerith menanyakan sesuatu yang tidak biasanya ia lakukan, merupakan pertama kali kata yang ada di pikirannya dan dia mengatakan itu karena relfek alaminya. Disamping itu, aneh rasany melihat bahwa sosok yang memiliki kemampuan tinggi dalam Soldier telah meninggal. Bahkan meskipun Aerith tidak tahu apa yang sebenarnya terjadi, namun ia yakin bahwa telah Zack hidup aman di suatu tempat� Aerith mulai menyalahkan dirinya sendiri melihat apa yang tidak bisa ia percaya. Kenyataan pahit yang ia rasakan benar-benar membuat dirinya kaget (shock).

�"Kau juga?"� Apa itu berarti kau juga sudah mati, Aerith? Baiklah, aku ingin mengatakan sesuatu yang sama dan kemudian� Bagaimana seharusnya aku menerimanya� Memberi rasa belasungkawa?�

�Kau tidak berubah sedikitpun.�

Tidak peduli apa yang terjadi, Zack tidak pernah kehilangan sifat cerianya. Karena sifat enjoyable yang ia miliki, Aerith perlahan mulai tersenyum. Walaupun ia tahu kalau dia anggota dari Shinra Soldier, itulah bagian dari dirinya yang dapat membuatnya merasa tenang.

�Banyak hal yang terjadi. Sesuatu yang mengerikan. Semua berawal ketika aku di tugaskan dalam misi di pedalaman Nibelheim.�

�Nibelheim?�

�Ya, apa kau tahu tempat itu? Waktu itu, aku sedang bersama dengan anggota Soldier yang sangat di kagumi dan di anggap bagai pahlawan. Namun dia tiba-tiba hilang kendali��

�Yang kau maksud Sephiroth, kan?�

Aerith menahan nafasnya. Ia percaya bahwa ada maksud kenapa Zack muncul di hadapannya. Ia merasakan bahwa pasti ini ada kaitannya dengan sesuatu.

�Bajingan itu sangat terkenal. Atau apa kau pernah membaca berita pembantaian besar-besaran di Nibelheim?�

�Apa kau berada di sana saat kejadian, Zack? Lalu bagaimana dengan Cloud�?�

�Woah woah, tunggu dulu! Bagaimana kau tahu tentang Cloud juga? Dan apa dia sekarang aman?�

�Kau tahu Cloud juga. Yang berada disana itu benar-benar Cloud kan?�

Keduanya tiba-tiba merubah apa yang mereka bahas. Dan apa yang Aerith tahu bahwa Cloud bukan boneka kloning Sephiroth. Dia tahu karena sekarang ia melihat Zack di hadapannya.

Zack pun juga tahu. Dia tahu karena Cloud merupakan teman dekatnya. Teman yang sama-sama mengalami insiden Shinra. Dia juga tahu kalau kebangkitan Sephiroth tidak hanya berdampak pada Nibelheim saja, tapi segala penjuru Planet.

�Zack� Apa yang bisa ku lakukan agar Cloud mengetahui kebenaran pada dirinya sendiri? Bisakah kau bilang bahwa dia itu sosok nyata dan bukan boneka kloning Sephiroth?�

�Mustahil bagi kita untuk melakukannya. Satu-satunya orang yang mampu hanyalah perempuan yang waktu itu sedang bersama kita saat di Nibelheim, Tifa. Jika dalam kenangan Tifa mampu membantu memulihkan kenagan Cloud mungkin��

�Itu pasti sangat sulit. Tapi aku tidak akan menyerah. Aku yakin pasti ada kesempatan.�

Wajah Aerith terlihat lebih bersemangat menanti secercah harapan. �Ketika semuanya selesai, Cloud dan yang lain pasti sanggup melakukan sesuatu untuk menahan Sephiroth. Mereka pasti bisa menghapus ancaman itu dengan memanfaatkan Holy.�

Tak lama kemudian, kesempatan itu tiba.


Merasa tertekan karena Meteor secara perlahan akan menghantam bumi, Planet bereaksi dengan mengeluarkan monster-monster penghancur raksasa yang telah lama tertidur di dalam Planet guna menyeimbangkan aliran energi Lifestream dan melindungi Planet dari situasi-situasi seperti ini. Banyaknya jumlah energi yang menutupi permukan Planet yang luar biasa ini tidak pernah terlihat sebelumnya. Terdampar di Mideel, Cloud masih tidak sadarkan diri dan Tifa tidak beranjak dari sisinya, keduanya secara tiba-tiba tersedot masuk ke dalam dimensi Lifestream.

Mereka berdua benar-benar masuk jauh kedalam dasar lautan Mako dan semakin dalam menuju dasar Lifestream. Bagi Cloud, ini merupakan kali keduanya dia berada di dalam Lifestream, tapi bagi TIfa, ini merupakan pengalaman pertamanya berada di lautan energi Planet.

Melihat kondisi ini, Aerith mencoba segala cara untuk dapat berkomunikasi dengan mereka.

Aerith mencoba berbicara dengan Tifa yang terlalu banyak terkena pengaruh besarnya reaksi energi Mako. Dengan kondisinya sekarang, Tifa dapat masuk kedalam kenangan Cloud yang �sesungguhnya�.

Kenyataannya, Aerith sangat ingin melakukannya sendiri. Tapi dia tidak bisa mengemban tugas itu. Itulah mengapa ia percaya pada Tifa. Ia percaya Tifa karena Tifa juga mencintai Cloud. Aertih percaya bahwa mereka nantinya akan hidup bahagia�

�Terima kasih. Kau berhasil melakukannya, Tifa� Aku sedikit cemburu terhadapmu, jagalah Cloud nanti.�

Tifa memeluk Cloud dengan erat guna meyakinkan perasaannya. Aerith melihat keduanya perlahan kembali menuju permukaan dengan tersenyum.

Bagi Zack, apa yang ia lihat sekarang sangat mempesona.

�Yah, kau tahu Aertih. Dari semua wanita yang pernah kutemui, kaulah yang terbaik. Setelah misi berakhir, kami (Zack & Cloud) berencana untuk menetap dan melanjutkan jalan diri kita masing-masing sesampai aku tiba di rumah. Aku benci Sephiroth. Dan aku juga membenci Shinra karena apa yang mereka sembunyikan dan perbuat.� (ket: Zack berbicara Flashback masa lalu)

�Seseorang telah lupa karena sudah berkencan dengan banyak gadis sampai lupa dengan kekasihnya.�

�Bukan begitu, maksudku aku ramah kepada semua orang.�

�Dan itu merupakan sisi negatifmu. Kau tidak berpikiran simple dan mudah canggung seperti Cloud.�

�Apa kau suka yang seperti itu, Aerith?�

�Entahlah. Mungkin aku telah berubah selama lima tahun itu.�

�Heh.�

Zack memasang wajah sedih tetapi sesaat kemudia dia kembali ceria. Itu sifat alami Zack sejak dulu yang Aerith tahu. Ketika ia berumur 17 tahun, ia mulai tertarik padanya.

�Ini belumlah berakhir. Tapi, aku akan kembali tertidur untuk sementara waktu. Sebetulnya ini bukanlah yang harus kulakukan dalam kondisi seperti ini. Tapi kapanpun kau merasa kesepian, panggilah aku.�

�Kaulah satu-satunya yang merasa kesepian. Baiklah, selamat malam, Zack.�

Memberi lambaian, �First Rank Soldier� itu mulai terlihat memudar di dalam Mako. Percaya karena ini belum berakhir, Zack kembali agar dapat menyimpan energinya.

Aerith tidak akan tertidur juga. Karena ia seorang Cetra, dia tidak merasa capek/lelah.

Sekarang ia merasa bahagia. Bahagia karena ia dapat melihat Cloud walaupun hanya sebentar.

Dan juga Tifa mampu menyelesaikan tugasnya. Mengingat kembali kenangan bersamanya dengan Cloud, ia melihat sekarang Cloud telah kembali pada dirinya yang �asli�. Itu adalah bukti kalau kesempatan itu masih ada. Tidak membiarkan kekuatan Jenova untuk merampas jiwa asli Cloud. Jauh di dalam kenangan itu tersimpan kebenaran-kebenaran yang sesungguhnya, Aerith mencoba memanfaatkan itu untuk membuat karakter bayangan Cloud agar ia merasa selalu di lindungi olehnya.

Linux/Unix Shell command to bulk change file extensions in a directory (Linux) Posted by sood

This article will explain how to change the file extension for all files in a directory in Linux using a simple bash shell command.
1. Change from one extension to another
The command below will rename all files with the extension .php4 to .php
2. Add (append) an extension to all files
The command below add the extension .txt to all files in the directory
3. Remove (delete) an extension from all files
The command below remove the extension .txt from all files in the directory

The command can be entered in one line after a bash prompt. The first part, for f in *, used a for loop. f is a variable.  It can be replaced by any valid variable name, for example replacedfiles.  Asterisk is a wildcard, meaning that all files in current folder.  f is an index, just like i or j in Cs for loop.  Thus, the first part instructs the bash to handle file by file in the current folder.  The semicolon declares the end of this part. 

The second part used keyword, do, to inform the bash to execute some command.  Here the command mv is used.  mv, if issued individually in the bash prompt, is to change file name or to move a file to another location.  $f signified mv to change some files, called by $f.  The dollar sign signifies f is a variable, which has been declared in previous line.

Castle Crashers

Castle Crashers is a 2D beat em up video game independently developed by The Behemoth and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It features music created by members of Newgrounds. The Xbox 360 version was released on August 27, 2008 via Xbox Live Arcade as part of the Xbox Live Summer of Arcade. The PlayStation 3 version was released in North America on August 31, 2010 and November 3, 2010 in Europe via the PlayStation Network. A Microsoft Windows version exclusive to Steam was announced on August 16, 2012. The game is set in a fictional medieval universe in which a dark wizard steals a mystical gem and captures several princesses. Four knights are charged by the king to rescue the princesses, recover the jewel, and bring the wizard to justice.

Gameplay:

Castle Crashers is a side-scrolling beat-em-up that incorporates a small number of role-playing video game elements. After selecting a character, the player then selects a starting stage through an overworld map. After completing a stage, the player has the choice to revisit it or to move to another stage. The map also displays shops where the player character can buy items and weaponry using coins gained from defeated foes. Arena stages can be unlocked where the player character can take on challenges to unlock additional characters.
Castle Crashers supports cooperative gameplay for up to four players, either locally or online. The game progression in terms of what stages are unlocked is defined by the hosting player; however, each player character will gain experience points and acquire wealth, weapons, and animal orbs independently as they progress with the rest of the party. In each stage, the player can use melee and combination attacks. Each character has a unique magical ability in order to defeat foes and a health meter that, if drained from enemy attacks, will cause the character to fall in battle. In single player mode, this ends the stage; however, in cooperative multiplayer other players may attempt to revive the downed character.
Characters gain experience points by defeating foes which allow the character to level up. Each level gained allows the player to allocate points towards the characters four basic combat attributes. Certain level advances also grant new combination attacks. Progress is tracked for each of the playable characters separately. The characters magic level is also tracked by a meter and regenerates over time. Numerous weapons can be found in the game, each that have various effects to the characters attributes when equipped. The player can find animal companions for their character that may assist in battle, improve the characters attributes, or provide another special ability such as increased treasure earned from defeated foes. Each version of the game features two minigames. In Arena, the first minigame, player characters attempt to survive through several waves of enemies. This minigame is available on both console versions. The Xbox 360 version features All You Can Quaff, a button-mashing contest between all characters to attempt to eat as much food as possible. The PlayStation 3 version features a Volleyball minigame for up to four players and four AI characters.
